Finally!!

After such a long time that Sheets users have been waiting for standard tables like in Excel, which automatically updates the range in design format and filtering -


Select the range of the table, click on

And then the magic happens!


Click on the name of the table, there you can change its name, its ranges, colors and return back to a normal state of data not in tabular form.

A small triangle will appear in each column for editing the column, changing the column type to date, number text, etc.

Sorting in ascending or descending order and filtering according to the values in the table.

It is also possible to group by the values in a column as in the example:

And this will be the result:

In the example, a grouping is created according to the vehicle manufacturer, but as in Filter view it will not affect other users.

Within the list of column types, there is an option to select a drop-down list and this will turn the column to drop down with the values present in it.
